Objective: The orientation aimed to familiarize campus staff and faculty with the various digital platforms and channels utilized by Pokhara Nursing Campus to enhance engagement and communication with its audience.
Overview: On the occasion of Nation ICT Day, ICT Unit of Pokhara Nursing Campus organized an orientation on Digital Presence of campus. The orientation session commenced with an introduction to the importance of maintaining a strong digital presence in today's educational landscape. Through a structured presentation, participants were guided through the campus website's key features, including sections on courses, testimonials, publications, faq, downloadable resources etc. The integration of the EMIS system was also highlighted, showcasing its different functionalities in campus login such as administration, account, payroll, human resource, inventory, exam and library management. Similarly, personal login functionalities like Personal Profile, Library, viewing attendance, salary, calendar was also highlighted.
Furthermore, the session delved into the campus's social media strategy, emphasizing the role of platforms like Facebook and YouTube in disseminating notices, documenting events, and fostering community interaction. Additionally, the utilization of Microsoft accounts for streamlined communication and collaboration was discussed, showcasing tools such as Teams and Outlook Email.
Throughout the orientation, active participation and engagement were encouraged, with all faculties and staffs of campus having the opportunity to ask questions and explore the various digital platforms firsthand. The involvement of the Campus Chief underscored the institution's commitment to embracing digital technologies for effective communication and administrative efficiency. Our IT focal person Mr. Suraj KC was the only resource person of the program.
